What is SEO? A Concise Explanation of Search Engine Optimization for Entrepreneurs

I talk to business owners all the time and they’re not really sure what SEO is, I wanted to sum it up especially for business owners.

SEO Minneapolis Minnesota

In this video I tried to put together a concise and helpful explanation of what search engine optimization is so that people can get a better understanding of what Google and other search engines are looking for.

It comes down to creating amazing, high quality and helpful content for your users while building up your credibility, authority and trustworthiness across the web. Take a minute to get a great understanding of what search engine optimization is.

Whether you’re a real estate agent, a construction business, home builder, or any other type of entrepreneur, optimization is incredibly important for you.

When I see youtube videos trying to answer the question About what is search engine optimization, they’re usually videos intended simply to drive traffic to their website rather than to concisely answer the question.

Growing your business is starting to be almost 100% about digital marketing, and Google, Bing, and even Alexa have become very dominant players in the space. Because of this, it’s important that you understand what’s the core of becoming the type of website and organization that Google would want to reward.

We think that it comes down to two things: Creating extremely high quality content, and building up your authority and trustworthiness.

Google is a phenomenal company that wants to help people get connected to the most relevant, helpful, and trustworthy solutoins to people’s questions or queries.

Think about it, what do you want Google to provide you when you search for something? We want GREAT solutions with trustworthy and honest vendors, websites, news organizations and blogs.

We don’t want spam, slight-of-hand, or nasty little tricks.

It’s all about being a great business in real life, and then building up a web presence that tells that story – and ultimately satisfies the query a search customer asks Google.

Thanks for your time, and I look forward to some debate in the lower part.
